Hiking Lawson Peak

Lawson Peak is located in the southern central part of San Diego County, near Barrett Lake. The peak is 3660 feet; there is not a lot of elevation gain during the hike, but it is hard to find the trail for the last 100 feet or so. The final push to the top is through a narrow slot that requires some upper body strength to hoist yourself to the top. There is a great view at the top, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone fearful of heights.
